Your time is limited, so don’t waste it living someone else’s life. Don’t be trapped by dogma - which is living with the results of other people’s thinking. Don’t let the noise of other’s opinions drown out your own inner voice. And most important, have the courage to follow your heart and intuition. They somehow already know what you truly want to become. Everything else is secondary.
humanvsgirl asked: Hey, I'm planning on doing a trip with WWOOF in the near future, just wondering where you stayed with them and what it was like?! Thank you!!!
Hey, my experience wasn’t that great! But I know of many people who did wwoof and had amazing hosts. I signed up through wwoof independents which was cheaper membership but I wouldn’t recommend it since anyone could claim to be a farm and register through independents, but if you actually go through the regular website listings I’m assuming it would be much better, I would also try to find people who could recommend a good farm to go work at before signing up since there aren’t any reviews on the site. FYI I stayed in Norway on a farm called Sea Gypsy Farm, we were overworked and didn’t get to do anything farm or boat related which the site claimed, I spent an entire week arranging the books in his library, so some research is necessary! :) Good luck!
Just got locked out of my hosts home at 12am and waited out for almost an hour. I’m super grateful to the stranger who sat outside with me looked up a hotel number, and tried to help me reach my hosts by phone, knocking on their window… And when I suggested she go to sleep she laughed and shrugged it off. This is a complete stranger I saw walk by the house on the street in the middle of the night. When I was planning on sleeping outside.
